BIO - Dr. Michael Wenz, Founder & President, Cambodia Acupuncture Project (A Non-Profit Corporation)
Dr. Michael Wenz, AP, DOM, Dipl.OM, MSTOM, L.Ac.
Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Nationally Board Certified “Diploma in Oriental Medicine”,
Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine,
Licensed Acupuncturist

Following his  Bachelor in Business Administration, Dr. Michael Wenz  worked for  more than 20 years globally as General Manager and Director Global Accounts in the financial software services industry managing budgets of more than USD 100M.

In 2006, Dr. Michael changed his career to focus on alternative medicine. He  completed his Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) training at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego and was granted a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine. He is licensed by the Florida Department of Health (State of Florida, USA) as an Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine. His various internships in the US  focused  on the areas of sports medicine, orthopedics, internal medicine, pediatrics and oncology.

Dr. Michael offers an “integrative” approach to health and wellness. He seeks to determine the root cause(s) of illness, rather than merely focusing on relieving symptoms.

He views health as a positive and vital state, not just as the absence of disease, and believes that each patient must be viewed as a unique individual who exists in a “matrix” of their history and genetics; psychological, emotional, and spiritual states; and their physical and social environments.

His specialties are in the areas of pain management (especially neurologic, orthopedic or digestive conditions), headache (incl. migraines), respiratory conditions (incl.asthma), dermatology, and pediatrics.

In 2012, Dr. Michael traveled to Cambodia, where he founded the Cambodia Acupuncture Project, a non-profit organization that treats less privileged children and orphans in Cambodia.

Currently, Dr. Michael is setting up a global non-profit organization to roll-out further treatment centers in less developed countries.
