Pediatric Acupuncture
Pediatric Acupuncture has formed a specialized subject in Chinese medicine since more than 900 years. Chinese doctors recognized the differences between children and adults in diagnosis and treatment and skillfully adapted their methods to the treatment of children. Their clinical experience is reported in many textbooks.
("Acupuncture in the Treatment of Children", Julian Scott, Eastland Press, Seattle, WA, 1999). Today, every TCM college in China teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pediatrics, and every TCM hospital has a pediatric department. In addition, hundreds of books on TCM pediatrics have been published in China in his century. ("A Handbook of TCM Pediatrics", Bob Flaws, Blue Poppy Press, Boulder, Co, 2011) |
